WIB teamed up with the film On the Basis of Sex to give away 5 double movie passes! Individuals were randomly selected from the comments on one of our FB posts.
Felicity Jones and Armie Hammer star in this inspiring true story of a young Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a passionate lawyer who dedicates herself to ending gender discrimination when she takes on a ground-breaking case in 1975.
At the heart of Ruth’s journey is a moving romance with her husband Marty (Hammer), her greatest ally in a partnership built on love and equality. Now an Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, Ruth has become an international icon. See where her story began in this stirring, heartfelt drama.
Congratulations to our winners Nicholas Crews, Georgia Volkers, Emily Melinz, Mikaela Ritchie and Saskia Mathers! We hope you enjoyed the movie!
WHAT: WIB partnered with the One Woman Project (A Brisbane based, non-for-profit focused on education about and promotion of gender equality) to bring our members an Essay Competition!

JUDGING CRITERIA: Submissions were required to be 600-1000 words long, and appropriately referenced in the members style of choosing. Our judges, OWP, evaluated the essays based on their relevance to the non-for-profit industry, idea development and writing style.
WINNER: Congratulations to Madeline Boulton for winning our first essay competition! Her essay focused on the importance of creative marketing innovation in not-for-profits, and was inspired by global businesses like Cards Against Humanity and Coca Cola.
PRIZE: Madeline was able to maximise her WIB membership, boosting her resume, gaining a greater understanding of the non-for-profit sector and building her essay writing skills. She also received a prize pack from the One Woman Project, acknowledgement on social mediums, and free entry to all Semester one events!
